According to The Good News Network, a sesame street theme park located in Philadelphia has become the very first to receive an autism accommodation certificate.

I think the most impressive part of this story is that every single one of their staff members hold a certificate in autism sensitivity training. That is amazing! They also offer quite rooms and sensitivity guides in order to plan out a visit to the theme park. The Good News Network says, "The accreditation was awarded in honor of Autism Awareness Month – and it is just in time for the park to reopen for its new season at the end of April."

According to Springbrook, there are several theme parks all over the country who do have accommodations for children with autism like Disney World and Lego-land in Florida. However, this is the first time the certification was given out. Nonetheless, I hope this creates a chain reaction for more theme parks to strive to obtain certifications like this.
