I got the chance to catch up with my friends Levette and Chris at Shreve Memorial Library this morning to talk about their big book sale this weekend. You can books for just 25 cents!!! The sale happens twice a year and it's a great opportunity to stock up!

Friends of Shreve Memorial Library Book Sale/ National Library Week

The Friends of Shreve Memorial Library will host a book sale on April 20th & 21st in the basement of the Shreve Memorial Library Main Branch located at 424 Texas St., Shreveport, LA 71101.

The preview sale for members begins Saturday, April 20th at 9:00a.m. and runs until noon. Memberships are available at the door for $5.00. The sale is open to the public from noon until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00p.m. – 4:30p.m. on Sunday April 21st.

The sale will feature tens of thousands of items, all priced below value, including:

· Best Sellers for $3.00

· Hard cover books for $1.00

· Paperback books for $.50

· Collector’s items and cookbooks priced individually.

· CD’s and DVD’s

The Friends of Shreve Memorial Library are volunteers who demonstrate their love of our public library through fundraising as a way of supporting literacy, programs, and the library’s mission to help citizens of Caddo Parish reach their full potential. All funds raised via the Friends’ Sale bolster special programs and initiatives at Shreve Memorial Library and its branches.
