Weather reports suggest that the Shreveport-Bossier area and other nearby parishes could be hit by rain, wind and even tornadoes Sunday, April 27.

The US National Weather Service of Shreveport has issued a tornado watch through 9 p.m. for Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, Lincoln, Union and Webster parishes. Areas of Northeast Texas, eastern Oklahoma and central and western Arkansas are also included in the tornado watch.

According to the NWS, damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes could accompany the expected severe weather.

In response to the expected severe storms, Barksdale Air Force Base called off the second day of its Defenders of Liberty air show, which was scheduled to happen today.
