Blue Southern Comfort Foods is getting some new digs.

No longer will you drive to Louisiana Avenue to get one of the best burgers in town. Blue Southern Comfort Foods is moving to the corner of Fairfield and Pierremont. They serve more than just burgers however, I gravitate toward this part of the menu every time I stop by. They will occupy the space where Fairfield Grocery used to be.

According to an interview with the Shreveport Times, owner Carolyn Simmons needed more space.

It's a great problem to have after being open for just two and a half years. It can only mean that business has been booming and the demand for Blue Southern Comfort Foods's delicious food is through the roof. With it will come more menu items and even weekly specials.

The new items include desserts.

Blue's new location will feature an ice cream parlor with Fleur de Creme Gourmet Ice Cream and milkshakes. I mean, what goes better with burgers than milkshakes? Carolyn will also get creative with the pizza oven to make bread pudding, flatbread and more. There will also be a full service bar to serve up some adult beverages. And expect some live entertainment and music out on the patio.

The grand opening has not been set yet, but doors will tentatively be open on March 16.
