Ariel Desiree McRae was picking out her engagement ring when an employee of the store commented about the size of her ring infront of her fiance.

She recently posted her story to Facebook. She not only reminded us that the love between two people isn't defined by the size of the ring the woman wears, or the amount of money either of them has. Love is about finding a safe place within each other

I feel sorry for the woman who made those comments. How rude! Sometimes you just need to keep your comments to yourself. What is that old rule? "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."

"Y'all can you believe that some men get these as engagement rings? How pathetic." When she said that I watched my now husband's face fall. He already felt bad because he couldn't afford the pear-shaped set that so obviously had my heart and covered my Pinterest page. He already felt like a failure, asking me again and again "Are you sure you'll be happy with these? Are you sure this is okay?" -Ariel Desiree McRae

I know when the day comes when I get engaged, Lord knows when, I will not care about the size of the ring. It isn't about that. It is about the size of the heart of the man who is giving me that ring. We, as women, talk about having a nice expensive ring one day, but in the end it doesn't matter. I will be happy with a ring pop.
