SNL Star To Replace Regis?

If all goes to plan, it could be "Live! with Kelly and Seth".

Showbiz411 reports that SNL "Weekend Update" anchor Seth Meyers is a leading contender to replace Regis Philbin as Kelly Ripa's permanent co-host in September. Meyers will fill in next week beginning Monday.

Other contenders include former NFL great Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban.

If Meyers gets the gig, he can keep his "Update" job, but may have to step down as SNL's head writer.
