Shreveport Times is reporting a story I found interesting b/c my parents live off of Norris Ferry and are on a well water system.

Most homes in the Ellerbe Road area use wells that draw water from the Wilcox aquifer that runs beneath the ground. However, overconsumption and severely dry conditions have caused the aquifer to reach a dangerous low. Residents have been forced to consider signing up for city water.

I gotta be honest it's a little weird filling up a glass of water and not seeing 'city water' clarity. But 100 years ago there wasn't many people around without a well. Then again they didn't care much about personal hygiene nor having pretty green grass.
