Former Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell is ready to get her fans moving again.

Halliwell — also known as Ginger Spice — is working on a solo album.

Halliwell, who’ll turn 39 on Sunday, tells Britain Daily Mirror, “The album’s pretty much finished. I’m not sure on dates yet, and I won’t tell you what it sounds like, because I’d prefer to let the songs speak for themselves. But it’ll be great to be back where I belong, on stage. It won’t be long.”

Halliwell, who’d love to get the album out this year, already has three other solo discs to her credit, all of which were released between 1999 and 2005. She’s enjoyed solo success in her native Britain, with four songs — ‘Mi Chico Latino,’ ‘Lift Me Up,’ ‘Bag It Up,’ and her version of ‘It’s Raining Men’ — all going to number one on that side of the pond.

Halliwell has drifted from her musical roots after joining the Spice Girls on a reunion tour in 2007, having instead focused on churning out a fashion line.
