Squirrel Scores a “Touchdown” During a College Game, Crown Goes Nuts [VIDEO]
Watch out, there might be a new favorite to win the Heisman this year... And it's a squirrel.
This is one of those things that can only happen in a college football environment. If a squirrel ran onto an NFL field, no one would care and fans would be too worried about who's kneeling instead of an animal streaking across the field.
Nope, not in college football.
During the Kent State - Louisville match up, a squirrel made it's way onto the field and began rushing towards the endzone. Play had stopped so this was the squirrel's moment to shine. Once it crossed mid-field, the crowd began to get into it, and the announcer was even calling it like it was an actual play.
As the squirrel inched closer to the endzone, you could feel the crowd's enthusiasm grow. Then, the exhausted animal crossed the goal line, the stadium erupted with pure joy and excitement.
Over a squirrel. Running a touchdown.
College football is the best.
