Netflix has been crushing it with nostalgic re-imaginings of our favorite heroes, so the latest is only a Stretch in name. Get a first look at Stretch Armstrong for a new generation of heroes as Netflix’s Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters reboots the character with a first trailer.

IGN debuted a first look at the new animated series, which has an as-yet-unspecified fall premiere. In it, the classic image of a Stretch Armstrong toy quickly gives way to the new Flex Fighters style; that of a costumed team fighting giant monsters.

The new series will re-imagine the classic toy as high school student Jake Armstrong, who comes in contact with an experimental chemical that changes his life, and the lives of friends Nathan Park and Ricardo Perez. Voice cast for Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters includes Scott Menville as Jake Armstrong/Stretch, Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun as Nathan Park/Wingspan, Ogie Banks as Ricardo Perez/Omni-Mass, Star Trek alum Wil Wheaton and Walter Koenig as Rook and Mr. Savic, Felicia Day as Erika, Keith David as Kane and Orange Is The New Black star Kate Mulgrew as Dr. C.

There have been numerous attempts to adapt the classic ‘70s toy, most notably in the last decade with Twilight star Taylor Lautner in the title role. Stay tuned for more on Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters in the meantime.
