T.I. is having a terrible week. Not only is he battling divorce rumors, he now has to contend with a lawsuit about some jewelry that he didn’t paid for.

According to Bossip, jewelry company Aydin & Co. filed documents back in November, demanding a judge force Tip to pay them the insurance money he received following a March 2016 burglary at his Georgia mansion where thieves stole the rapper’s expensive jewelry. The company claims that the pricey baubles that were stolen were the ones the rapper didn’t pay for back in January.

As we previously reported, T.I. apparently owes them $700,000 after failing to make payments on various pricey jewelry that he bought on consignment.

Among the items T.I. allegedly had on consignment include a 48-carat diamond chain, two $10,000 custom-made dog tags, a $9,500 diamond hoop earrings, a $3,800 “Majorly Loved” pendant, a $30,000 blue diamond watch, a $24,500 women’s diamond bracelet and a $13,500 men’s wedding band. Also listed was $40,000 in “assorted women’s jewelry,” and seven custom made diamond pendants for $145,000. Whew! That's a lot of jewelry.

On Tuesday (Dec. 28), T.I. filed court documents in his response to Aydin & Co.'s claims. The Grand Hustle leader maintains that he doesn't own them any money and that their allegations are null and void based on statue of limitations. T.I. also claims the jewelers don’t have any evidence to support their claim that he owes them the insurance money, because the jewelers have no proof that the jewelry stolen in the burglary is the same jewelry in question in the lawsuit.

A judge is now going to sort out this very complicated legal case. Hopefully, in 2017, T.I. won't find himself in too many courtrooms.
