July 29, 2011 Every once in a while, people from outside of Louisiana ask me why we have Mardi Gras events in July. They think Mardi Gras is a week in the Spring before Lent. And it is, after a fashion... But we crazy people in the Bayou state celebrate all year long with soirees, Coronations, Bals, fund raisers to help our community, Flotilla and more!
