Controlled Burn In Caddo

FYI, if you see smoke in far west Caddo Parish, there is a controlled burn happening in some woods around the 6700 block of Jefferson Paige Rd, out toward the Texas/Louisiana state line. Caddo Fire District 3 was called out because of numerous calls to the 911 call center – but it’s nothing for citizens to be concerned with, and is being properly managed.

OMG... It's gotta be the hottest Summer in history. Seriously, I don't know the stats or anything, but I can't remember it being this oppressive in a long, long time... and the poor students of Desoto Parish are heading back to school next week. Businesses are advertising their back to school specials, moms are fighting over the last red polo in their child's size and the kids are going to be sweating like crazy on their school buses. It couldn't feel FARTHER from Fall, back to school and football!
