Last week, I was fortunate enough to take some time off and meet some of my girlfriends from all over the country at the Rolex 3 Day Event in Lexington, KY to cheer on our mutual friend and coach Julie Norman as she competed for her very first time!

I'm so excited! A few weeks ago I wrote about my friend and horse trainer/coach Julie Norman who qualified for Rolex in Kentucky next month!

Julie Norman is a local athlete and she's representing our area well!

Just like clock work, each Spring and each Fall, eventers from around the country descend on Holly Hill Farm in Benton for the Holly Hill Horse Trials which will take place this weekend. They start tomorrow (Friday) and run through Sunday.

I try not to bore you too much with my posts about horses, but there is so much to be proud of in our area. You don't think of Louisiana as being a hot bed of equestrian sports, but right here, in our area, we have two young women making huge strides and names for themselves in the Eventing world.
