Lady Gaga appears to be making a killing on her forthcoming May 17 show in Taipei, which is located in Taiwan. Lower-priced tickets went on the market, leaving fans scrambling to nab whatever they could. Tickets priced at the U.S. equivalent of $61 sold out very quickly. Essentially, business is good for Gaga as she embarks on the first leg of her Born This Way Ball tour.
When Lady Gaga declared “No matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian transgendered life” in her anthem ‘Born This Way,’ the LBGT community took those words to heart. Last night (March 24), Gaga nabbed the ‘Outstanding Music Award’ honor for the album of the same name at the 23rd annual GLAAD Media Awards, which were held in New York City.
Lady Gaga was the first person to hit 20 million Twitter followers, a stat she reached just last month. It’s a mere few weeks later and she’s already well past 21 million followers. Make that over 21,186,000 at press time.

Fresh off the Harvard launch of her Born This Way Foundation, Lady Gaga has yet another reason to celebrate. No, it’s not her birthday either. That’s later this month, on March 28, when she turns 26. Right now, Gaga can throw her paws up and dance around the room because she has just notched 20 million Twitter followers. Make that 20,096,127 people are reading her tweets, as of press time.
Madonna isn’t the only pop diva with a successful world tour on the horizon that’s selling out at a rapid clip, resulting in a the addition of dates. Her nemesis Lady Gaga kicks off her Born This Way Ball tour on the other side of the world in April. Due to overwhelming demand, Gaga has added a bunch of shows to her previous itinerary.
Lady Gaga launched her Born This Way Foundation with her mother Cynthia Germanotta (pictured above -isn’t she cute?) at Harvard today (Feb. 29.) Dressed in a chocolate brown, sleeveless dress and a shimmery net hat, Gaga livestreamed the press conference, where she discussed the foundations aims, goals and benefits for the youth.
Lady Gaga‘s ‘Born This Way’ was christened the ‘Most Pretentious Album Ever’ by British music bible the NME. That’s a bit harsh, no? Regardless, the Mother Monster posted a tweet about the not-so-prestigious honor, slyly pointing out that to receive such a label from a pretentious publication constitutes irony.
