Don't bother trying to find Beyonce's record-breaking new CD at your nearby Target. Why?

The store released a statement Monday that they will not stock Bey's self titled album because she elected to release it online first.

"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections," Target spokeswoman Erica Julkowski told Billboard.

She added, "While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce's new self-titled album 'Beyonce.'"

Bey showed how much clout she has by releasing her new album exclusively on iTunes without the benefit of any pre-release hype or promotion. It went on to sell a phenomenal 80,000 copies in its first three hours of release and has since sold over 500,000 copies since its release Friday morning at midnight.
