#TBT: That One Time Heffron Drive Played for Us and a Handful of Listeners [VIDEO]

It's so hard to believe that it was two years ago Kendall Schmidt and Dustin Belt stopped by the studios.

It's been about two and a half years since I became a part of the K945 Krewe. Shortly after I started we got a visit from Kendall Schmidt and Dustin Belt, the boys of Heffron Drive. Of course, you may recognize Kendall from a show on Nickelodeon called Big Time Rush. His true passion though is the work he does with Heffron Drive.

And the music these two guys write is incredible.

The name Heffron Drive comes from the street Kendall grew up on in California. You can see how he and I were instantly connected since I also grew up in California. Well... who am I kidding? I never grew up, I just got older. Anyway, the two came in and played for a handful of listeners in our conference room and we chatted about their music.

And then we took prom pictures (above).

Obviously, Kendall and I are Prom King and Queen (for the first time in my life) and Dustin... Well... We'll find him a date for the next one. These guys are a lot of fun and I guarantee you'll love their music too. They actually just released a new song called "Rain Don't Come."

I found a copy of the live stream we did on YouTube that day. It's not the clearest video, but then again it was over two years ago. Technology has more than doubled it's level of coolness since then.
