Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be a life changing and scary moment for anyone. But this 19-year-old teen named Tom wasn't going to let cancer bring down his spirits.

Tom created a video called 'Bald So Hard,' a parody rap to the tune of Jay Z and Kanye West's 'N----- in Paris.' In the lyrics, he raps about the day-to-day life of being treated in a cancer hospital.

According to a profile in People, Tom was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in April 2013. He was treated at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where he is currently undergoing his final round of chemotherapy. But while there, he wanted to lift the spirits of the other children who were fighting cancer as well.

"I always saw depressing stories of young hospital patients, and I just had the idea of almost doing the opposite of just that, and trying to bring a light to a dark and touchy subject," he told the site. "I thought there was no better way to bring light to a dark subject than through comedy. That led me to the idea of wanting to show the everyday life of a cancer kid through a video."

The CHOP is hoping that the video helps create awareness for childhood cancer and has created a website for people to find out more information.
