A Dallas man will serve seven years in prison, plus five years of supervised release, for a conspiracy to sell methamphetamine in the Shreveport area.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 36-year-old Leonardo Gonzalez was charged with possessing with intent to distribute five or more grams of meth. He pled guilty to the charge last February. During that court appearance, the DEA showed it had conducted two controlled purchases of meth from Gonzalez's co-defendant, Bruce A. Lee, in the Shreveport area in September of 2013. Lee and Gonzalez were later questioned and searched.

Agents found three ouces of meth in Lee's vehicle and five ounces in an apartment Lee was using in Shreveport. They also recovered $10,000 from Gonzalez's vehicle. Gonzalez admitted to getting the drugs from a Texas source and selling them to Lee.

Lee was sentenced to five years in prison, plus five years supervised release, last July.
