Maybe it's because I haven't gotten married yet, but I thought a wedding would be a little cheaper than our national average.

According to PR Newswire, the average wedding costs $29,000! The craziest part is that the cost is actually going down. Last year, a study by The Knot showed the average wedding costs $31,000!

So how does the number get so high? Here's your answers:

1. The most expensive part of the actual wedding is the venue at $8,798, followed by the caterer at $6,877.

2. The band average is somehow $3,848. The photographer average is $2,435.

3. Of course you'll need a rehearsal dinner, on average that costs $1,935.

With a few other card swipes here and there, PR Newswire has determined the average wedding and ceremony costs $28,958!

Of course, if you throw in the engagement ring cost of $4,758, and the average honeymoon, which is $3,882, you'll spend $37,598 on your wedding from start to finish!

They found these numbers by surveying early 150,000 brides, grooms, wedding guests, family members and wedding/event professionals.
