The Equestrian Athlete [VIDEO]

It's hard to explain to people, that no, you can't go have a drink after work because you have to take care of your horse. They just don't get it and the more you try to explain, the less they understand. No one ever questions a runner when they have to train... And baseball players don't catch any flack over extra hitting/pitching time. So, why don't people understand, that for equestrians, the rider is only part of the equation? And that any time you take responsibility for a living, breathing creature, you need to step up. Maybe this will help explain what's so hard for me to put into words.
