Another massive check has been written for Louisiana Film Prize's 2016 winner.

Year five of Louisiana Film Prize festival proved to be the best yet. This year's Top 21 was filled with comedy, horror, action and controversial topics. There was truly something for everyone. The festival goers made their vote and the judges made theirs to give us our grand prize winner...

The Man from Mars.

According to LAFilmPrize.com, "A cynical podcast host hellbent on making fools of small town celebrities has just met his match: A charming woman who has her entire community believing she’s the second coming of Jesus Christ." The film easily appealed to a wide array of viewers and really gave you something to think about.

The director is Jonnie Stapleton who spends quite a bit of time in El Dorado, Arkansas. He calls it his favorite home-away-from-home. He currently resides in California.
