Day 2 was super exciting!  Less rain meant more donations, and we started to see the flow of Christmas-gifts-to-be increase.  This makes Brandon very happy.

The truly humbling thing is hearing the stories of folks who were in the position to receive toys from organizations like Operation Santa Claus last year.  Let me be clear.  A large portion of the people donating toys were in a financial crisis last year, and needed toy donations to make Christmas happen for their kids.  Ironically, it seems the most generous people we have encountered so far, had the least to give.

We are so thankful for the donations we have received so far, but we are far from our goal.  There are 300+ kids on the bike list alone!  And, before you start bah humbuggin' - remember that you were once a child yourself.  Maybe you remember receiving the bike, or some other similar gift, that you really wanted for Christmas a few years back .  You were super good that year, and totally deserved it!  What if your bike never came?

My point is, it is not only the rich that deserve a gift on Christmas.  Every single child deserves to feel that magic - and now you can be a part of it!

We will be living in the Pierre Bossier Mall until Monday, Dec. 12th.  Please, bring a donation.  Big or small, 1 toy or 100 - it will help put a smile on a deserving child's face Christmas morning.
