The Question We Should Really Be Asking About Celebrity Pregnancies

It really boils down to three simple words, "What's your price?"

When it comes to celebrities, more often than not, their entire lives are documents in the public eye. This includes pregnancies and the welcoming of babies. For celebs like Nicole Kidman and Carrie Underwood, among others, we have seen these baby bumps appear to grow before our very eyes on the red carpet. For others, they are kept behind closed doors.

This always raises the question of whether or not they really were pregnant in the first place.

Most recently, we have questioned the legitimate carrying of a child in Beyonce and Janet Jackson. It's a terrible thing to speculate, but still we do. Many believe these two women and others used a surrogate to bring a life into the world. I believe, rather than asking this question, I believe we should ask another.

How much would you need to be paid to carry a celebrity's baby?

Yep, we went there. If you were approached by a famous person to serve as their surrogate, would you do it? How much would you want to be paid? It's a conversation I had with a few of my girlfriends. The number of $100,000 was tossed around.

To me, that's way too little.

Call me a money grubber, but I would want to be paid $100,000 a month. On top of that, I want another $100,000 to help me recover from the birth and get my body back in shape. It's pretty much a year's worth of work we're talking about here so that's my number. And even $1 million for me to carry a celebrities baby.
