The Sun, Earth, and Moon are All in Alignment

In what I think was a key plot point in an action movie from my youth the stars are all in alignment today. Where's Harrison Ford and the Cookie Monster when I need them? (PS Those were my heroes)

According to a potty mouth named website today is the day that happens once every 26 months!! The Earth sun and moon will all be aligned and you'll be able to see the red planet Mars!

Apparently according to Astronauts Christopher Columbus Fox 33 Meteorologist Kyle Roberts a chick behind the counter at Buttercups a smart person, its happening today!
