Bossier Parish's Marlene Rome of Bossier City got a big surprise when she arrived home from work on Monday to her Crosscreek Drive home. There was a 6' alligator making himself comfortable in her yard.

She quickly called the Bossier Sheriffs Department who sent deputies to keep law and order with the huge reptile while waiting for a wrangler to come and catch the monster.

The wrangle had just caught another gator earlier in the day. He also caught an 11' gator that weighed around 500 pounds in a cow pasture in Elm Grove. This gator had to be put down because of it's size and state regulations.

The wrangler said he didn't know for sure why alligators are showing up this year because he didn't get any calls last year.
