Even though the pilot got permission to pull this off, should he be punished?

First off, I could see how a ton of people at the airport were absolutely frighted. BUT. Another angle shows that no one was in danger and the plane didn't come very close to crashing into the airport, as the viral clip shows.

At this point, you're probably trying to figure out what I'm talking about, so I'll fill you in.

The flight line Air Berlin recently declared bankruptcy. The carrier's final long-haul flight from Miami to Dusseldorf was earlier this week. With 200 passengers onboard, but before landing, the plane jerks upwards and flies by the terminal.

Apparently, the pilot had permission to do this, and it is something called an "honorary flyover". The viral clip is from the terminal, and features a few people freaking out. But the second, shot from the control tower, shows a much better angle, and also included airport personal clapping during the flyover.

Still, people are angry and calling for punishment, since the plane was carrying 200 passengers.

What do you think?
