As you many of you may know, I've spent a decent chunk of my adult life playing music around Shreveport-Bossier. When I first started, I played the Top-40 room in Rockin' Rodeo, then moved on to Chicky's Boom Boom Room, then moved over to Phoenix Underground, and now I'm currently at The Vault. Throughout the years, one thing I've learned is that Shreveport loves rap, and rap loves Shreveport.

When trying to name one specific rap song that IS Shreveport, so many came to mind.

I almost when with hometown artist hurricane Chris and his classic "Ay Bay bay", but decided to go elsewhere.

In my mind, the song that I chose doesn't necessarily translate to Shreveport, but every time I hear it, no matter where I am, I always think of home.

I'd say of the nearly 400 nights I've DJ'd in Shreveport-Bossier, I've probably played this song more than any.

It's the song that everyone in Shreveport loves, and everyone in the club will sing every single word to. Honestly, its one of the rare songs you could easily play 2-3 times a night and no one would care.

That's why I, Jay Whatley, have officially named Shreveport's unofficial rap song to be....

Drumroll please.....
