Last night, while Tucker, my boyfriend, was trying to win a boss fight on Dead Rising 4 I found this app. I read the reviews and it seemed pretty cool.

It is called Hooked. You read text message conversations in "real time".  Some are funny, cute, and then others are down right terrifying.

Let me set the scene for you: All the lights are out in my apartment. We have had dinner, and have gotten comfortable on the couch before we go to bed. Tucker is helping me on one of the levels of Dead Rising 4. It is a boss fight that is just too hard core for me. So he took over the Xbox controller. Instead of watching him play, I see this app that is being advertised on Facebook. I download the app. It is terrifying. I can't even make it through the first story. I immediately delete it. It felt too real.

I love scary movies. I love horror fiction, but for some reason this felt too real for me. I have re-downloaded the app so that I could experience it during daylight hours.

Supposedly, this app isn't just scary stories. It is chat stories. Some are cute and sweet, and others are humorous. For some reason all the stories I have encountered only encountered the scary stories.

This is not an advertisement. I just don't want to be scared alone.
