Up, Up, and Are You Serious? Man Soars Over Calgary in Lawn Chair, Balloons [VIDEO]

One man's quest to fly above the city in a lawn chair almost went horribly wrong.

Well, it may not have been an entire house, but this man attempted something that had only previously been done in a Pixar movie.

According to news sources, Daniel Boria wanted to draw attention to his cleaning products company by doing a stunt no one would forget. He attached 110 helium-filled balloons to his lawn chair and set of into the sky.

And then things got dicey.

"At one point I was looking up at the balloons, they were popping, the chair was shaking and I was looking down at my feet dangling through the clouds at a 747 flight taking off and a few landing," he said.

Boria had to bail on his contraption and parachute to safety. He was then pursued heavily by the police. After being detained, he was charged with one count of mischief causing danger to life. See? Cops do care about your life to the point of protecting you from your own stupidity.
