VH1 Cancels “Ev And Ocho” After Ochocinco’s Arrest
And you thought your weekend sucked...
VH1 announced that it has pulled Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson's reality show, "Ev and Ocho", from its schedule following Johnson's arrest last weekend for a domestic altercation with wife Evelyn Lozada.
The network issued a statement which reads, "Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev and Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it."
This comes on the heels of the Miami Dolphins' announcement that they were dropping the NFL star from the team.
Johnson was arrested for allegedly head-butting Lozada during the fracas, and Davie, FL police captain Dale Engle was quoted as saying, "She has a good laceration on her forehead."
Johnson has been released from jail on a $2,500 bond and has been charged with a misdemeanor of simple battery, according to ABC News.
