History’s Vikings will look very different by the time Season 5 premieres this fall, and we don’t just mean the locations. Jonathan Rhys Meyers will take up his “Battle Bishop” role full-time after Travis Fimmel’s exit, and our first photos see some uniquely non-Viking locales.

Entertainment Weekly shared the first official photos from Vikings Season 5, ahead of a likely trailer at Comic-Con 2017. In them, late Season 4 addition Jonathan Rhys Meyers suits up as “warrior bishop” Heahmund against Ragnar’s son Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), while Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) ventures outside of the series’ scenic Irish countryside for Morocco, standing in for the new Sahara locale:

It remains to be seen what became of the historical Bjorn in his trip to the Mediterranean, but as far as Ivar’s battle against Heahmund, series creator Michael Hirst has a specific vision:

[Andersen]’s a very, very powerful presence. A certain amount of mutual respect will eventually develop between Ivar and Heahmund. The battle is completely dominated by the personalities of these two great and formidable warriors.

We’ll see much more of the expanded Vikings Season 5 next week, but watch the latest teaser below, and stay tuned for the latest from Comic-Con 2017.
