What is the one thing you wish you could get more of in your job? What is the one thing that you wish you could get more of in your home? Unless you're independently wealthy and one of the truly beautiful people on the planet I have a pretty good idea what you answered to those two questions.

In our jobs most of us would like to make more money. In our homes most of us would like to be needed and wanted in a most romantic way. I am trying to keep it clean in case the kids are watching you while you read.

Oddly enough those two things, an increase in pay and an a certain satisfaction in your home life, go hand in hand. A study out of England suggested that people who have encounters of a romantic kind two or three times a week are likely to earn 4.5% more money than their less active counterparts.

Why would that be? It all seems to be based on how we feel about ourselves. If we feel ourselves to be desirable to our partners then that feeling of high self-esteem carries over into the workday. An employee who is content in his or her home life will also be more productive in their work life.

There is a bit of a conundrum with this particular study that was done at Anglia Ruskin University in England. Researchers couldn't decide if the more romance begat the more money or if the more money was the reason for more romance. I say let's try it both ways and see for ourselves.
