The biggest award show has came and went. The 2016 Oscars will go down in history for two reasons:

 

1. Leo finally won!

2. The award show was completely driven by race.

 

I, for one, thought Chris Rock did an exceptional job. He faced a difficult task in hosting this show amidst the racial tensions, and I thought he handled everything well.

I did, however, take issue with one particular bit. It's hard for me to take the diversity stance seriously when you have three Asian kids on stage to poke a little fun at Asians. I didn't think that was smart, and I was particular pleased when I saw that many on Twitter had the same feeling.

The joke just didn't fit, not with the serious tone that the award show took on diversity.

For those who missed it, Chris basically called tot eh stage the accountants from PricewaterhouseCoopers, who tabulate the Oscar results. Instead of the actual accountants, three Asian children came to the stage. He then stated that if you hated the joke, complain about it on your phone which was also made by those kids.
