Fans rejoiced when news broke thatBeyoncé will star in the new remake of The Lion King. The rest of the cast includes Donald Glover, Eric Andre and the returning James Earl Jones. But Saturday Night Live has the scoop on several other artists who auditioned for a part in updated Lion King flick.

SNL's hilarious sketch of fake auditions features newly engaged couple Cardi B and Offset (played by Tiffany Haddish and Chris Redd) screen tested for the roles of Timon and Pumba. Haddish would later appear as Mary J. Blige who auditioned for the role of Pumba. Elsewhere in the clip, Eminem auditions for Simba as well as playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda.

But the funniest moment comes when Oprah (played by Leslie Jones) reads for the part of Rafiki and Eminem (Pete Davidson) auditions for Simba. But Kenan Thompson's impression of LL Cool J and Mikey Day's John Oliver are little bit unconvincing.

Nevertheless, these sketches of fun impressions by the SNL cast members are a joy to watch. We wouldn't be surprised if Oprah Winfrey gets the call to join the actual Lion King remake. And since the Migos have expressed interest in playing the three hyenas in the new remake, we can only hope they get the opportunity.
