The big question across Shreveport/Bossier: What kind of weather can we expect from Hurricane Isaac? As Isaac track North we can expect 2-4 inches of rain in the Shreveport area over the next couple of days.  There are also two significant weather advisories that you should be aware of : a lake wind advisory and a flash flood watch.

LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM THIS EVENING

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

Heavy rainfall will be possible beginning early Thursday morning in advance of Hurricane Isaac. Widespread heavy rainfall is expected as Isaac moves slowly northwestward across the area through Thursday evening. Rainfall totals are expected to range between 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts possible.  This amount of rainfall will saturate soils and could result in flash flooding across poor drainage areas.
