Sandbags are available for free if your home or business is in jeopardy of flooding.

The Red River is now expected to crest at 34 feet in Shreveport-Bossier on Saturday. Check out the National Weather Service website for up to date river projections.

In Caddo Parish, you can pick up sandbags from 7AM to 3PM at Caddo Public Works fleet services on Monty Street, at Caddo Public works on the Greenwood-Springridge Road, the Public Works Complex on Finley Drive in Vivian and the City of Shreveport streets and drainage on Mansfield Road.

Bossier City residents can get sandbags at the Public Service Complex on Old Shed Road from 7AM to 3PM each day this week. You can get between 15 and 20 bags.

In Bossier Parish, those are available at the Bossier Parish Barn at 410 Mayfield Street in Benton from 7AM to 3:30PM, and in the parking lot of Elm Grove Elementary School any time while supplies last. There's no limit on the number of bags residents can get.

If you live in DeSoto Parish, you can get them at 11928 Greenwood-Springridge Road in Springridge. North Caddo residents can head to 108 Finley Drive in Vivian. Those in Shreveport can pick them up at the Fleet Service Facility located at 1701 Monty Street.
