Following the events in Virginia last weekend there has been an announcement that Texas A&M campus will play host to a "White Lives Matter Rally" on September 11th. Richard Spencer, a known White Supremacist will be the speaker according to organizers. This has people very concerned especially because the press release stated “TODAY CHARLOTTESVILLE TOMORROW TEXAS A&M”.

The news of the event took social media by storm and now it's been announced a counter protest is being planned for that same day. The counter protest is being called "BTHO Hate" or Beat The Hell Outta Hate- which is a play on A&M's famous chant. The organizers of the counter protest are saying their protest will be nonviolent, and is intended to show that Aggies will not tolerate hate of any kind.

So far, we have not seen a response from the University about the protest- but sources say while they don't agree with the rally they can't stop it due to the fact they're a public university and keeping them from having the rally would violate their First Amendment rights.
