Why I am Thinking about Permanently Living in an RV
When I first moved to the Shreveport-Bossier City area almost a year and a half ago, my mother insisted that I financed an RV instead of renting an apartment. I didn't take her advice and decided to rent an apartment any way. I am now looking back and thinking what if. What if I decided to buy and finance an RV?
So I am thinking about possibly considering the idea of living in a recreational vehicle.
From the information I have gathered in my limited research I have found that the most positive aspect about living in an RV is the downsizing and the connection with nature. That doesn't sound too bad. Honestly, I could use a little downsizing.
There are several folks who document their lives living in an RV. They travel around doing odd jobs or making money from blogging their "RV Life". I think I would just park my RV outside of the radio station and keep my job. If you want to read up on one couple documenting their life on the road you should check out Heath and Alyssa.
The biggest issue that I see with taking on this style of life would be losing my personal space and taking baths. The reason I am so intrigued with this idea is that I want to tap into the freedom that folks say come with living in an RV. The freedom of giving up my accumulated possessions. The freedom to letting go to social standards. The freedom to see life in a new way.
Plus, this is the time in my life I can do something this spontaneous. I don't have kids. I am not married. I have a great job and able to take care of my self financially while also being to care for my dog and cat. This is the time in my life where I am allowed to be selfish. So why not take this moment to live in a unique way, travel, and allow myself to experience life in a new way.
What do you think about this type of lifestyle?
