Last night, Benton High School senior, Garrett Jacobs, sang to not only a nationwide audience, but a live studio audience as well on American Idol... did he do enough to get America's vote and make it into the top 10? I feel like I just channeled Ryan Seacrest there when he says, "America, it's time for you to decide." But this is serious business... Will one of our own be one step closer to being the next American Idol?

At just 18-years-old, Garrett is one of the youngest in the competition, but he has his all-American good looks, southern charm and good upbringing in his favor. That, and Garrett is downright talented when he doesn't over think things. Last night, he sang Raging Fire by past Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips. I thought he did a good job, but lets face it, everyone is out to win this thing. Was it enough? I saw people voting like crazy last night online. But coming from a smaller town, is Garrett losing out to folks who come from area with a bigger population, hence, the chance at a bigger fan base?

I guess time will tell. Tonight is the results show and we'll get the big reveal starting at 7pm. Will you be watching? I think I need a drink!
