Will the Intersection of Kings and East Kings Be Ready for Centaur Parade Saturday?

The Krewe of Centaur Parade rolls this Saturday at 4:30, but there is still a lot of concern about the construction going on at East Kings.

Crews have been working to get the concrete poured to have the intersection ready for the floats to make that turn, but there's still much to be done.  Large sections of the turn lane to East Kings are still big holes.

We have been assured the intersection will be ready for Saturday's parade, but you should know that entire area in the construction area will be a "no-throw" zone.

The parade starts at Lake Street on the Clyde Fant Parkway and rolls down to Shreveport Barksdale Highway and then on to East Kings.
