Warner Bros. hasn’t come forth with many details beyond the initial Young Justice Season 3 announcement, but it looks like the team is reassembling regardless. Aqualad voice and Walking Dead star Khary Payton hints that recording has begun, placing us one step closer to Young Justice’s return.

Payton tweeted out a quick tease of some Young Justice-related work, presumably signaling a start to voice-recording on the mysterious third season. For the moment, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm any returning stars from the cast, or even an expected network for the fan-fueled revival.

It was back in November that Warner Bros. and DC made official that Young Justice Season 3 had begun production, returning producers Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels). Jason Spisak also implied his return as Wally West, or Kid Flash, despite the character’s apparent Season 2 demise:

Here’s how the first Season 3 synopsis read:

The Team is back and it’s “business as usual.” Warner Bros. Animation has begun production on a third season of all-new episodes of the acclaimed hit, action-animated series “Young Justice,” based on the characters from DC Entertainment. Season three promises new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.

The series debuted in 2010 with a core team of Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Aqualad, Superboy and Artemis, and expanded to feature numerous others like Beast Boy, Blue Beetle and Wonder Girl. Voice cast has included standouts like Bruce Greenwood, Danica McKellar, Alan Tudyk, Tim Curry, Rob Lowe, Maggie Q and more.

We’ll hopefully have more official details before long (Comic-Con, anyone?), but sign up for updates here, and stay tuned for the latest on Young Justice Season 3.
