When I was a kid, one of the many reasons why I loved going to my grandmother's house was getting to watch all the dateline and true crime. She was obsessed with all those shows. I blame her for my obsession with my similar obsession.

Although, I lean more towards the psychology documentaries of serial killers and murders I still find true crime extremely interesting. If you have similar interests as mine, then you know what I mean.

With the rise of streaming shows online, more and more folks are deciding to disconnect from cable and lean more towards streaming services like Netflix or Hulu. I have found you several fascinating Youtube channels that cure that true crime itch. I have also listed my favorite episode from each channel. Enjoy!

  • Buzzfeed Unsolved

Buzzfeed has become my cyber best friend because of this new series they have started. I do warn you that the language is a little strong, but I adore the commentary between the two of them. It just sounds like two friends talking about horrible crimes.

"How do you use that many heads?" Classic.

  • Rob Dyke: Seriously Strange

Rob Dyke is an interesting dude, but I love this channel because it is well researched and well explained. He is a very to the point person, but has a great voice to follow along with. He covers some gory things, but if you can stomach it this channel is great. He has multiple of series on his channel: caught on camera, anatomy of murder, and serial killer files to name a few. His Lisa Lam is one of my favorites.

  • Cayleigh Elise: Dark Matters

The reason I love Cayliegh is because I feel that if she and I met in real life we would be best friends, and talk for hours about all things creepy. Just like Rob Dyke, she is well researched and knows her stories and creates a great dialog. Where her and Rob differ is her sense of sympathy for those involved in the crime which I think makes her more human. Another cool thing about Cayleigh, she has a series where she reads subscriber's scary encounters which is always fun to watch.

These are my top three Youtube channels that you should follow immediately if you enjoy true crime.
