Talk about life imitating art. A post-rehab Zac Efron had his own uncomfortable moment during a Today Show interview while promoting his new movie, "That Awkward Moment."

Today Show's Savannah Guthrie asked a pointed question about Efron's time in rehab last year for drugs. Efron's reply was hard to listen to -- not because it was bad, but because he was obviously not comfortable discussing it.

Rather than offer a non-answer or avoid the question altogether, the actor tackled Guthrie's query, albeit with some excessive hand clapping.

"I'm in the best place that I've ever been in," Efron said. "I've never been this happy before. I'm extraordinarily grateful for these guys and to be here promoting this movie. Things are good. Thank you for asking."
