There are now 1172 cases of Coronavirus in Louisiana. 34 people have died including 1 in Webster Parish.

More than 6,000 people have been tested in state and private labs. The majority of the cases are in the New Orleans area with 567 cases in Orleans Parish and 252 cases in Jefferson Parish. There are now 34 cases in Caddo, 12 in Bossier, 5 in DeSoto, 3 in Webster, 1 in Bienville, 2 in Natchitoches and 2 cases in Claiborne Parish.

To minimize the risk of spread, Louisiana officials are advising the public to practice social distancing by not gathering with large groups of people. Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana and introduce the virus to new communities.
