Tomorrow, the 11th annual North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival kicks off at the Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport.  This 4 day celebration will showcase 4, LGBT-themed feature films and several short films - plus a handful of Q&A sessions with folks who had a hand in bringing these stories (both behind and in front of the cameras) to the silver screen.  Thursday night at 8, the festival will host a viewing of the 1984 Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton comedy/musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - followed by a trivia contest.

The event is hosted by People Acting for Change and Equality (PACE), Northwest Louisiana’s leading advocacy organization for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.  A famously wild reception will be held on Saturday night from 6:00 until 7:30.  This year's theme is "Steampunk," and costumes are absolutely encouraged.
