WalletHub's study, Best Cities for Jobs (2025), was just published and looked into how hard, statistically, it is to find a job and keep it across 182 cities. The study collected data like the number of job listings available, industry variety, unemployment rate, starting salary, and more data about things like housing availability and transport because keeping a job relies on things like housing or a daily commute.

Out of 182 of America's biggest cities, Shreveport was the 10th hardest city in America if you're looking for a job. The overall rank was decided by two sub-ranks, the Job Market rank and the Socio-economics rank. Shreveport ranked 15th worst for job markets and 7th worst for socio-economics.

Louisiana had a total of 3 cities big enough to make the study. Other than Shreveport, the study took a look into Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Baton Rouge ranked lower than Shreveport as the 5th worst city to find a job in this year. New Orleans did much better than its counterparts, as the 136th best city to find a job in, or the 47th worst city in America to find a job.
