48-Year-Old Tony Hawk Can Still Hit The 900 [VIDEO]

Tony Hawk was at one time the most popular athlete in all of sports. He is directly responsible, in my opinion, for the main-stream popularity that skateboarding received in the 90's, and helped make the X Games what they are today.

17 years ago, Hawk performed a move that no one thought they would ever see.

After several failed attempts to land it during the 1999 X Games, Tony dropped into the half pipe and nailed the 900 for the first time ever.

Now, Tony is retired, but says he still feels like he can ride. Yesterday, on the actual 17-year anniversary of his huge 900, he decided to show the world that at 48 years old, the old man can still nail the 900.

That's exactly what he did.
