Louisiana Expected to Add 60,000 New Jobs In the Next Two Years
Good news for Louisiana and its workforce!
If you are currently out of work, or possibly looking for work but having no luck, just hang on. Help is on the way for Louisiana, according to the Louisiana Economic Outlook. The Louisiana Economic Outlook predicts the state will add nearly 60,000 jobs by the end of 2020.
That, my friends, is a lot of jobs coming our way.
Louisiana is just now finding it's way out of a 28-month recession, and the rebound is set to begin shortly.
So why the recession? You guessed it, oil. We lost quite a bit of jobs in our state when the oil boom went dud, but the upswing is coming.
LSU economist Dr. Loren Scott says, "It's now projected to start adding jobs at a pretty good clip at 2019-2020 as the price of oil has risen and is expected to continue to rise."
Cheers to new jobs coming to our great state!
