Nothing like spending a weekend walking in Memphis.

My husband and I had a crazy idea of flying out to Memphis for the weekend. We took a quick trip to the home of Elvis and barbecue. And we had a blast. Aside from the fact that it was freezing cold, we enjoyed our time. Luckily, Memphis was able to avoid the snow that much of the rest of Tennessee experienced.

We got to fly over the clouds on the way there which was beautiful!

Our first stop upon landing was to visit Graceland. We took the big tour and experienced all that was Elvis. His home is stunning and whether you're a fan of the King of Rock and Roll or not, I highly recommend checking it out. You will, 100 percent, be a fan after this experience. The man lived an incredible life that was cut way too short.

Unfortunately, the woman who took our picture completely missed all of Graceland. But we did enjoy some fabulous peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

In addition, we saw a large map of all of the places Elvis visited on the road. I had to get a photo of the pin that represented his trip to Shreveport, Louisiana where he performed on the famous Louisiana Hayride at the historic Municipal Auditorium. They say that his ghost still haunts that venue.

We stayed at the Peabody hotel and got to see the famous Peabody Ducks! I snapped a photo of them marching back into the elevators after enjoying their day in the lobby fountain.

All in all, it was a short trip but a ton of fun. I would recommend a trip to Memphis to anyone!
